Charleston has gone to the dogs!

Greetings from Charleston, South Carolina! I have another pet sitting assignment for the next several days watching over 3 dogs. Meet Buddy, Jazzie and Brody:

Buddy is an 11 year old male, Jazzy is a 10 year old female and Brody is a 7 year old male. Their dog mom loves golden retrievers and has been deeply involved in golden retriever rescue over the years. She enjoys not only having dogs but fostering them and finding new homes for them. Buddy and Brody are goldens and Jazzy is a German shepherd mix (need to ask their mom how a non-golden was able to make her way into the family).

I spent the day with their dog mom learning what their usual routine is like – they sure have a wonderful life! Every morning they head to Sulllivan Beach in their "dog van" - a vehicle with no back seats so there's plenty of room for the dogs. They spend about an hour walking along the beach, finding sticks, sniffing out lots of special places and meeting up with human and dog friends. It's a beautiful secluded beach along the ocean right at the mouth of the harbor and dolphins play right off shore - I was surprised to see dolphins – I did not think they would live so far north. There are some giant container ships that pass by too - wow are they huge!

After playtime at the beach the dogs come back home and have their breakfast and meds and just hang out. They are super mellow and are great off leash and stay right with me. Looking forward to a fun time with these guys!
