11-January-2024 OTR+(On The Road)

One of the greatest joys of my Adventure is connecting with family and friends along the way. Last night after Kennedy Space Center I got together with my friend Linda whom I knew from my days at Stone & Webster in the early 1990s.

I enjoyed dinner with Linda and her husband and spent the night at their place in Orlando. Linda is the ultimate Host and had a toiletry guest basket better than any 5 star hotel. 💗

I was also lucky enough to get to walk my mile with her dog Heather who showed me around the neighborhood. Below is a picture of Linda's house with a gator on her front lawn – the gator was not there when I was there but Linda shared the picture with me - only in FL!

As someone who is chronically overscheduled (I have FOMO so I need to fill every moment with exploration and activities), I never have time for some of the daily things that need to be done .... and today I finally took some time for them.

I cleaned out my car, got through a bunch of emails, did a little trip planning, found a bike shop to repair my front tire, found a UPS store to mail my package, got my nails done (girls you know how nasty nails get when they grow out too long) and hit the road to head north to Tallahassee Florida. Not a very exciting day but feeling much more organized.
